Deputy Chief Finance Officer

There has never been a more exciting time to join Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH). We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Chief Finance Officer at a pivotal moment, as we shape and deliver our strategy to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.

GOSH is an internationally renowned centre of excellence in the care of Children and Young People with highly complex and rare conditions. Employing c.6,000 staff, we deliver the UK's widest range of children's paediatric specialities from our central London site.

As Deputy CFO, you will lead several core functions within the Finance Directorate, including:

  • NHS Contracting, Income and Costing
  • Financial Reporting, Treasury, and Financial IT Systems
  • Financial Management across Clinical and Corporate Directorates, Research, and the new Cancer Centre programme
Main duties of the job

You will work closely with the Chief Finance Officer and collaborate regularly with the Executive Team, senior leaders, and colleagues across the Trust.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate with a proven track record of success in the NHS or wider public sector. You will be a values-driven leader, adaptable to the changing expectations within the NHS, and able to provide strategic insight and challenge to the CFO.

You will bring extensive experience in building and leading high-performing finance teams, alongside the ability to manage relationships with colleagues at GOSH at all levels, encompassing the "Always Values" in everything you do
