Community Academies Trust (CAT) seeks an exceptional Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Finance and Operations) to join our Trust Executive Team. You will lead the Trust’s financial and operational functions, working closely with the CEO to shape strategy and support the 17 schools across the Midlands with clarity, confidence and care.

As Chief Finance Officer and Company Secretary, you will provide strategic leadership for finance, HR, operations, estates, IT, data protection, health and safety,

Qualifications

• Substantial senior leadership experience in finance and operations, ideally within education/public sector/multi-site environments.
• Qualified accountant with strong technical and governance credentials.
• Proven track record in long-term financial planning, risk management, statutory reporting and governance assurance.
• Ability to lead people, resources, systems and organisational change with clarity and judgement.
• Commitment to high-quality education, governance and values of excellence, integrity and collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Trust’s financial and operational functions and support the CEO on key strategic matters.
• Provide strategic leadership for finance, HR, operations, estates, IT, data protection, health and safety, compliance and risk.
• Strengthen systems, support long-term financial planning, ensure effective statutory reporting and governance assurance, and represent the Trust with confidence.
• Communicate complex matters clearly and build strong relationships across the Trust and beyond with warmth and professionalism.
