Job Title: Deputy Care Support Manager – Disability Services

Location: Nottingham, NG5

Contract Type: Full-time, 39 hours per week

Salary: £30,856.62 per annum

Annual Leave: 33 days (inclusive of bank holidays)

Essential: Full UK Driving Licence

About the Role

Thera East Midlands is seeking a Deputy Care Support Manager to help lead high-quality, person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities. You'll work closely with the Support Manager to manage care delivery across services, providing hands-on leadership and mentoring to support teams.

This is a key leadership role for someone passionate about delivering empowering, inclusive, and rights-focused disability care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and supervise care teams to deliver person-centred support
  • Work on shift, modelling best practice in disability care
  • Assist with rota planning, care records, and audits
  • Support individuals in designing their own support plans
  • Deputise for the Support Manager as needed
  • Promote safety, dignity, inclusion, and independence

About You

  • Level 3 (or above) Health & Social Care qualification
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, care regulations, and health & safety
  • Leadership or coaching experience (formal or informal)
  • Confident using digital tools (e.g., Excel, care planning systems)
  • Flexible and willing to travel locally across services
