Reports to: Area Care Operations Manager (ACOM)

Job Types: Full-time

Shift Patterns:

  • 12 hour shifts
  • Day shifts
  • Night shifts

Qualifications:

  • Full UK Manual Driving License (Required)
  • Enhanced DBS certificate within the last 3 years (preferred)

This role involves transporting patients safely, respecting their dignity, and using trained techniques when necessary to ensure safety. The satisfaction comes from playing an essential part in their crisis management.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Enforce health & safety standards daily to ensure legislative compliance.
  • Model quality patient care, uphold company values, and adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professional conduct and instill it within the team.
  • Monitor and improve patient care standards, fostering a learning culture.
  • Recruit, induct, develop, and retain team members.
  • Motivate and care for the team through effective communication, meetings, and coaching.
  • Identify development needs and manage performance issues.
  • Manage electronic data systems and resolve issues promptly.
  • Balance administrative duties with patient care during transitions.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and reflection.
  • Meet business KPIs, goals, and objectives.
  • Maintain vehicle standards at the highest level.
  • Support and implement company initiatives and adapt to change.
  • Manage rotas for efficiency and care standards.
  • Use reports and data for decision-making and approve timesheets.
  • Support teams during on-call periods.
  • Participate in business development through networking and relationships.
  • Uphold the SCUK brand and standards.
  • Coordinate with departments for deployment, audits, and procedures.
  • Ensure all activities comply with legislation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Background & Experience:
  • Valid UK Manual Driving License with at least 12 months driving experience
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate resilience

  • High attention to detail

Contract Details:

Full-time, 40.93 hours/week, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, alternating days and nights.

Remuneration from 1st May: £14.29/hour, with annual pay around £29,993.83, subject to discussion during interviews. Overtime and shift enhancements are available, details provided during the interview.
