About the Role

Role – Deputy Children’s Home Manager

Location – Abergavenny - also Porth, Bridgend and Cardiff

Salary - Up to £40494.60 per year, inclusive of sleep-in shifts at £50.00 per night and 30 hours overtime per month

We have an opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our team in our children’s home in the Abergavenny area, supporting up to 4 Young People with Emotional & Behavioural Disorders. All our homes are based in a semi-rural location to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for the individuals we support.

To be a successful Deputy Children’s Home Manager, you’ll need:

  • QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) is essential.
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or a Shift Leader, in a Children’s residential setting.
  • The ability to work with autonomy in addition to excellent communication skills, both with internal and external agencies.
  • A willing attitude and a caring, reliable nature.
  • Compassion and empathy.
  • Enthusiasm to promote independence and choice.
  • A strong work ethic, flexibility, self-motivation, and resilience.
  • Due to the requirements of the role the minimum age requirement for the role is 22 years of age.
  • Full UK manual driving license (This is essential due to the needs of the Young People we support).

In return for your Skills and Expertise as a Deputy Children’s Home Manager you’ll receive:
