A leading values-led organisation offering solo residential care for young people with emotional and behavioural needs. Based in Gorton, the home provides a stable, nurturing environment where children can feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow.We are seeking a motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our founding team and help lead the development of our service from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Registered Manager in the daily operation of the home

Lead shifts and ensure the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care

Supervise, mentor and develop care staff

Maintain safeguarding and regulatory compliance

Contribute to care planning and ongoing service improvement

Build strong relationships with professionals and external partners

Participate in inspections, audits, and reflective practice

2+ years experience in residential childcare (1+ year in a senior/supervisory role)

NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards it)

Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development, and relevant legislation

Effective leadership and communication skills

Full UK driving licence (essential)

Flexible and resilient approach to work, including sleep-ins

Enhanced holiday entitlement

Funded Level 5 qualification (if not already held)

Career progression into a Registered Manager role
