Deputy Manager
Location: Southampton
Salary: Up to GBP37,000 per year
Hours: 40 hours/week, Day Shift
Job Type: Full-time, In-person

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join our 20-bedded residential care home in Southampton, proudly rated GOOD by the CQC. Our home delivers person-centred care in a friendly, supportive environment for older adults.

As Deputy Manager, you ll work alongside the Home Manager to lead the team and ensure the highest standards of care. You ll be responsible for care planning, audits, and supporting the day-to-day running of the home. In the Manager s absence, you ll take charge of operations and team leadership.

This role offers a clear career path, with the opportunity to progress to Home Manager within 12 months, supported by further training and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, support, and develop the care team

  • Ensure safe, person-centred care in line with CQC standards

  • Oversee care plans, compliance, and audits

  • Manage staff supervisions and development

  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, and professionals

About You:

  • Experience in a leadership role within residential care

  • Strong knowledge of care regulations and quality standards

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (working towards Level 5 desirable)

  • Proactive, organised, and team-focused
