We're looking for a Deputy Care Home Manager to support the Home Manager in leading our friendly and dedicated team at Northbourne Care Home in Gateshead.

About the Role:

As Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the home delivers outstanding care to our residents. You'll lead by example, support staff development, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the home. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior carer, team leader, or deputy looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive environment.

What You'll Do:

Support the Home Manager in the overall management of the care home

Ensure high standards of person-centred care

Supervise and mentor care staff, supporting professional development

Oversee care planning, audits, and compliance with CQC standards

Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external agencies

What We're Looking For:

Previous leadership experience in a residential or nursing care setting

NVQ Level 3 or higher in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)

A caring, proactive approach and strong organisational skills

Sound knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures

A team player with a genuine commitment to high-quality care
