Aneurin Bevan University Health Board supports flexible working.

There is a temporary top-up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top-up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour (£24,638 per annum). This top-up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2025/26 is confirmed.

Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity in a Business Partner Finance team based at St Cadocs Hospital in Caerleon, Newport. This permanent role is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible individual. The Deputy Finance Business Partner Accountant will support a team of 5 accountants supporting the Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Division.

We seek a high-level finance professional eager to make an impact. The role involves leading the finance business partnering team to provide comprehensive financial advice, support, and challenge across the Division.

Main duties of the job
  • Become an integral resource within the Finance department, supporting the Divisional team and driving performance.
  • Provide insight and financial understanding to non-finance budget holders.
  • Deputise for the BPA as required and lead the wider BPA team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and realize cost improvement opportunities.
  • Support business decisions by developing business cases and financial plans.
  • Develop realistic forecasts and identify risks and mitigations.
  • Proficiency in Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
