An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and dynamic Deputy Team Manager to join Oxford City Adult Mental Health Team (AMHT) within Oak sub team.

This is a key leadership role within a well-established, multidisciplinary team that consists of both highly experienced and newly qualified professionals, all committed to delivering high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges in our local community. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified individual with experience in mental health to take a step up and a progressive move in their career!

Location: Warneford Hospital office - covering Headington, Barton, Blackbird leys, Wood Farm, Iffley, Littlemore and Kennington.

Main duties of the job

As Deputy Team Manager, you will provide clinical oversight and leadership to the team, working closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist (Clinical Lead) and Team Manager (Operational Lead). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day management and clinical supervision to staff.
  • Supporting the ongoing development and performance management of the team.
  • Undertaking clinical duties, including conducting assessments and managing a small caseload.
  • Acting as Duty Manager on occasion (full shadowing support will be provided for those new to this responsibility).
  • Deputising for the Team Manager as required.

Qualifications
  • Relevant Professional Qualification (RMN or Occupational Therapist).
  • To hold an advanced professional/clinical qualification (e.g. AMHP, CBT, DBT, NMP)
  • Qualification in management and leadership within a healthcare setting
