Job description

UHDB Pharmacy delivers a comprehensive pharmacy aseptic service to provide parenteral medication for our patients. This role acts as the Deputy Accountable Pharmacist for our unlicensed pharmacy aseptic units, providing chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition, and CIVAS services to UHDB patients. You will join an experienced and knowledgeable pharmacy aseptic team. Full support and access to development opportunities will be provided.

  • To provide leadership and act as a role model for the Aseptic Services Team.
  • To assist the Accountable Pharmacist - Aseptic Services in the development, coordination, and management of Aseptic Services activities at UHDB.
  • To assist the Accountable Pharmacist - Aseptic Services with managerial and operational issues within Aseptic Services activities at Royal Derby Hospital; responsible for providing a quality, GMP-compliant service, supplying aseptically prepared products, fit for their intended use, in a timely manner to all service users.
  • To provide support to unlicensed aseptic units at RDH (Chemo satellite, Level 2 and 4).
  • Working alongside the Accountable Pharmacist - Aseptic Services, support the development and delivery of a comprehensive, high-quality pharmaceutical service that aligns with the Trust’s strategic direction.
