Job description

Stirling's Educational Psychology service is seeking to appoint a motivated and dynamic individual to the post of Depute Principal Educational Psychologist. This is a significant role in the Education Service, with the post-holder being responsible for the operational line management of the Educational Psychology team and for a wide range of service-delivery and strategic responsibilities.

As Depute Principal Educational Psychologist, you will work closely with the Principal Educational Psychologist, Service Manager for Inclusion and Early Years and key partners to effectively lead, manage, develop and promote the Educational Psychology Service. Lead strategic areas include embedding relationship based approaches and inclusive practice across schools and early learning and childcare settings. The post requires effective leadership and management skills and excellent communication skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person who is values led and determined to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.

Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) is required. Applications are invited from suitably qualified educational psychologists who currently work in a local authority educational psychology service in Scotland. The Service is located in Stirling, which is a beautiful city in Scotland's central belt with excellent commuter links.
