Argyll and Bute Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent and innovative advice organisation providing holistic advice and support to local people since 2002. The Bureau offers a free, confidential and impartial service, and like all other CABx in Scotland, our twin aims are:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual with good communication skills to help lead the team at Argyll and Bute Citizens Advice Bureau and to work closely with the Chief Officer on the sustainable development of the Bureau.
An enthusiastic, socially aware person is a prerequisite for this demanding position, as well as having a commitment to develop and expand the advice service throughout Argyll and Bute.
Good organisational skills are essential, and experience in advice work would be advantageous, as would knowledge of IT systems and their applications. Candidates must be able to demonstrate substantial experience in people management, financial control, and strategy development, ideally, but not essentially, in the third sector.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently with good organisational skills and be responsible for the operational and administrative aspect of the Bureau. The successful candidate will be required to travel efficiently and effectively to meet operational needs.
Argyll and Bute Citizens Advice Bureau offers excellent terms and conditions, including a total of 25 days (pro rata) annual leave (currently under review) plus 10 public holidays and a pension scheme with a 6% employer contribution.
