A leading educational institution in Scotland is seeking a Depute Head Teacher for Castlebay Secondary School. This permanent role involves assisting the Headteacher, managing staff, and ensuring high educational standards. Depute Head Teacher, Castlebay Secondary School (1685)
35 hours per week, Permanent Post
£63,879 per annum (Point 3 of the DHT/HT Scale) plus £2,742 Distant Islands Allowance per annum
The role of the Depute Head teacher is to assist and where necessary, to deputise for the Headteacher in the conduct of the school's affairs. The Depute must work closely with the Headteacher in all aspects of school life, must be capable of making decisions in his/her absence, and will take a lead role in agreed assigned tasks related to the development priorities of the school.

It is essential you have experience in a promoted post at Principal Teacher level or above, in a school setting.
It is essential that you have a University Degree and Certification from a Teacher Education Institution or College Diploma for Teaching along with GTC Scotland Registration.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with Children.
The above teaching post is a full time, permanent position and the salary is in accordance with current regulations plus £2,859 distant islands allowance.
