As this is a permanent promoted post in a denominational school, candidates must have their Catholic Teaching Certificate and approval to work in this school.

Requirements

Please ensure your Head Teacher completes the attached report template and uploads it with your application before the closing date. Upload the report in the 'COVER LETTER' section; a separate cover letter is not required.

For Vacancies at Denominational Schools:

Evidence of Catholic Church Approval: Applicants must seek Catholic Church approval upon application submission and provide a copy to the Chair of the Panel before the interview. Pending approval, confirmation from the Church Representative will be sought.

Denominational Primary Posts: Applicants must have the Catholic Teaching Certificate or Catholic Religious Education Certificate. More information and forms are available at SCES website.

Denominational Secondary Posts: Applicants need RC Approval for the specific school. Forms and info are available at the same SCES website.

Responsibilities

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the PVG scheme. Membership or update of the PVG scheme is required before employment. Further details are available here.

Employment is excepted from the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants must disclose all convictions, including spent ones, as failure to do so could lead to dismissal or disciplinary action.
