Job summary

Kelling Group Limited is seeking a Yard Foreman for our Huntingdon depot. The role combines leadership with hands-on operations to optimise yard and workshop activity, ensuring high standards of service, safety and efficiency.

You will manage a team, coordinate workloads, and drive Fleet and asset management while maintaining compliance with policies and health and safety regulations. A proactive, hands-on leader with strong people skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising or managing a fast-paced yard or warehouse environment.
• Forklift truck licence advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proven ability to lead a team, solve problems, and ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop depot staff to high performance.
• Allocate daily workloads based on priorities and skills.
• Oversee orders processing, stock rotation and inventory levels.
• Ensure health & safety compliance and training across the team.
• Manage depot assets, repairs, PDI, and fleet availability.
• Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in service delivery.
