Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Depot Support Operative to work as part of the team at our depot in Uxbridge. We are seeking a Depot Support Operative to assist in all labouring duties and support all aspects of the transport and engineering functions at the depot.

You must be a great team player, reliable, and have a keen desire to learn within an engineering environment.

Responsibilities include:

1. Work with drivers to ensure all trucks are loaded safely and efficiently.
2. Pick and prepare machines for drivers as notified on Transport planning sheets.
3. Ensure all vehicles and drivers have loads available to maximize driving hours and vehicle efficiency.
4. Ensure all diesel machines have tanks filled and chargeable invoicing information is completed daily.
5. Maintain and improve machine layout to optimize yard space.
6. Park all machines after engineers have parked in the laydown area.
7. Complete planned maintenance activities, including cleaning, painting, and improvements within Livery guidelines.
8. Organize engineers' stores for efficient parts usage in line with the LSM.
9. Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Tech X standards and policies.
10. Represent the company, providing high standards of customer care and politeness at all times.
11. Maintain high personal appearance standards, ensuring proper use of uniform and PPE.
12. Support the Location/Workshop Service Manager, Senior Service Engineer, and shift supervisor in maintenance operations.
13. Provide general depot maintenance as required.
14. Ensure electric machines are charged before and after inspections.
15. Provide on-site support when needed.
16. Use internal mobile applications to complete tasks as planned by the LSM/WSM or SSE.

• Ability to work as a team in a reactive environment.
• Full UK Driver's License.
