Job summary

LF&E is seeking a Depot Supervisor to lead a team of delivery drivers and oversee daily depot operations, ensuring timely and accurate medication deliveries across the UK. You will drive performance, safety, and patient-focused service in a fast-paced logistics role.

45-hour week (Mon–Fri), early start 06:00, with reasonable overtime; you will manage rotas, recruitments and staff development while maintaining high standards of compliance and customer service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a supervisory or transport management role is required.
• Experience managing drivers and fleet logistics is essential.
• Good understanding of GDP/MHRA standards is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, organisation and decision‑making skills are required.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment is needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of delivery drivers.
• Oversee daily dispatch, route planning and depot operations.
• Ensure GDP, MHRA standards and SOP compliance.
• Manage rotas, holidays, absence and staff development.
• Collaborate with senior management to meet KPIs and service targets.
• Conduct vehicle checks and maintain depot safety and cleanliness.
• Lead recruitment, inductions and new-starter training.
• Provide driving cover when required.

Role Details:

• 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Shift times are 06:00 am - 15:00 pm with reasonable overtime expected
• 30 minute lunch break

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and supporting a team of delivery drivers
• Overseeing daily dispatch, route planning, and depot operations
• Ensuring compliance with GDP, MHRA standards, and company SOPs

Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory or transport management role
• Experience managing drivers and fleet logistics
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety (GDP/MHRA knowledge advantageous)
• Excellent communication, organisational, and decision‑making skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Strong geographical knowledge
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Full UK manual Driving Licence with no more than 6 points
• Subject to DBS and reference checks
• Must have the right to work in the UK
