Job Description

Our Site Manager is currently recruiting for an experienced Depot Quality Manager to join and strengthen their highly experienced depot management team across two sites.

Purpose of Position

Through constant review of business analytics, conduct a deep dive analysis to identify opportunities to improve the quality and experience for the shipper.

To ensure that the depot is compliant in areas of Quality, ISO, Environment, H&S, HR, Transport, Couriers, Self Employed Owner Drivers and Security.

Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility

  • Drive quality and compliance within the depot by maintaining and improving standards within the depot
  • Run, analyse and interpret operational data to produce daily, weekly and monthly reports; identify and resolve areas of non-conformance
  • To improve and maintain a customer first approach in all aspects of depot operations
  • Monitor and review depot/ administration compliance of H&S, HR, ODF, Transport, Recruitment, ISO, Audits and Environmental
  • Maintain and drive completion of new process training with depot admin team support & OJT support
  • Recommend any new processes to achieve company audits according to company targets in relation to H&S, Quality and Transport with Depot management team
  • To coach and mentor office based employees in understanding Company processes and procedures
  • To attend on site and off site meetings/ courses as directed by the General Manager.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal contractors.
  • Ensure own skills and knowledge are kept up to date and take responsibility for own personal development.
  • Assist in the facilitation of meetings and arrange minute taking for H&S and weekly Shift Manager meetings to drive accountability.
  • To undergo any other tasks as directed by the Site Manager.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • You will have a strong knowledge and understanding of quality, audits and compliance ideally gained within a transport setting. It would be advantageous if you were aware of CPC and O Licence requirements.
  • You will be a confident communicator with a passion to lead, motivate and manage high performing teams whilst influencing at all levels.
  • A person capable of decisive and effective decision-making, in a time pressured environment
  • Someone that really enjoys resolving problems and demonstrates high levels of resilience, self-motivation and flexibility.
  • You will be analytical, customer focused and highly organised
