Job summary

Gap Speke depot is seeking a Depot Operative to join our team in a busy, customer‑facing role within a competitive sales environment.

You will work with colleagues to hit sales targets, handle enquiries and/or complaints in a courteous manner, and ensure a safe working area in line with health and safety regulations.

A full clean driving licence is required and you should be organised with a proactive, team‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing sales environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Trade counter knowledge and experience including some sales background.
• Knowledge of the local market.
• Organised and structured approach to work and tasks.
• Ability to work as a member of a team and on own initiative.
• A full clean driving licence.

We have an opportunity for a Depot Operative to join our depot at Speke. We are looking for someone who can work in a team environment and is confident to interact with customers in a highly competitive and sales focused environment. The role is busy, varied and every day can be different.

The Role

• To work with the team to achieve sales targets and increase personal performance levels.
• Deal with enquiries and/or complaints from customers in a courteous, professional manner.
• Ensure a safe working environment, in line with Health and Safety regulations.

Skills and Experience

• Plastic and window knowledge preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
• A thorough understanding of health and safety practices.
• Trade counter knowledge and experience including some sales background.
• Knowledge of the local market.
• Organised and structured approach to work and tasks.
• Ability to work as a member of a team and on own initiative.
• A full clean drivers license.
