Job summary

GAP UK is seeking a 7.5 tonne driver/operative to join our Maidstone depot. You will work in a team to hit sales targets and deliver GAP products to customers, while handling enquiries in a courteous, professional manner. The role is busy and varied, with daily changes to meet customer needs.

Health and safety are essential, as is knowledge of the local market. A trade counter/sales background and a valid CPC are desirable. Training can be provided.

Qualifications

• Valid CPC holder and driving licence.
• Experience with 7.5t deliveries and customer service.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Experience in trade counter and sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GAP products to customers (7.5t).
• Work with the team to achieve sales targets and improve personal performance.
• Deal with enquiries/complaints from customers in a courteous, professional manner.
• Ensure a safe working environment, in line with Health and Safety regulations.

Job description

We have an opportunity for a 7.5 tonne driver/ Operative to join our depot at Maidstone. We are looking for someone who can work in a team environment and is confident to interact with customers in a highly competitive and sales focused environment. The role is busy, varied and every day can be different.

The Role:

• To work with the team to achieve sales targets and increase personal performance levels.
  
• Delivery of GAP Products to customers (7.5t)
• Deal with enquiries and/or complaints from customers in a courteous, professional manner.
• Ensure a safe working environment, in line with Health and Safety regulations.

Skills and Experience:

• Plastic and window knowledge preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
• A thorough understanding of health and safety practices.
• Trade counter knowledge and experience including some sales background.
• Knowledge of the local market.
• Organised and structured approach to work and tasks.
• Ability to work as a member of a team and on own initiative.
• Valid CPC
