Depot Operations Manager, Salary: £60k + car allowance with excellent benefits and career opportunities, Based; Speke.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Depot Operations Manager to join the market leading provider of Portable cabins, Secure Storage Solutions, Modular buildings and associated products. The depot operation stores and prepares the units ready for hire or sale, refurbishing and modifying as required. This is a manufacturing cell operation. Candidates will need to have proven operational management experience with a track record of delivering operational excellence on targets, quality, process (lean and continuous improvement), cost management and H&S within a relevant Service Centre or manufacturing environment. Any experience of the modular space / portable accommodation sector would be highly advantageous.

The official internal job title for this role is that of Service Centre Manager.

Candidate requirements:

  1. Experience in an Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Site Manager or similar role from within Manufacturing, Engineering or Logistics with a focus on quality control, timely delivery, and cost management.
  2. Demonstrating exceptional leadership and people management skills, the ideal candidate will showcase a proven ability to inspire and guide teams towards operational excellence.
  3. Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and process improvements.
  4. While industry experience is not considered mandatory, it is undoubtedly beneficial.
  5. Possess a keen understanding of quality management, driving initiatives, and implementing corrective actions.
  6. Proficiency in logistics and delivery, including fleet utilisation and on-time deliveries, is essential.
  7. Experience of overseeing cost management and P&L, with a strategic focus on efficiency improvements.
  8. Proven expertise in operational excellence, the ability to identify and deliver improvement initiatives.
