Zusammenfassung

Colas Ltd, a UK subsidiary of Colas Group, invites an Operations Co-ordinator to join the Doxey depot. You will ensure the smooth, safe, and compliant running of depot operations, managing receipt, storage and distribution of materials, tools and equipment used in highways maintenance.

The role requires COSHH, PUWER and LOLER awareness and the ability to work evenings or weekends on on‑call duties. We expect 2–3 years’ storekeeping or logistics experience in highways or civil construction,

Qualifikationen

• 2–3 years’ experience in storekeeping or logistics in highways, civil engineering, or construction.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of COSHH, PUWER, and LOLER regulations.
• Basic computer skills; forklift or plant operation qualifications are a plus.

Aufgaben

• Oversee receipt, inspection, and recording of deliveries; manage stock levels and support procurement for timely materials.
• Ensure safe storage, distribution of inventory items and accurate stock records; manage waste disposal.
• Support winter maintenance and on‑call duties; act as Fire Marshall and First Aider.
• Coordinate with procurement and site teams to ensure timely deliveries and maintenance of depot equipment.
• Champion continuous improvement through 5S and lean practices; maintain a clean, safe depot environment.
