Are you an experienced transport or depot manager with strong leadership skills and a passion for operational excellence? Do you hold a CPC Transport Manager qualification and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on logistics role?

We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected business for a Depot Manager to take charge of operations at their Inverness site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven experience in transport and team management, who’s looking to make a real impact across fleet, staff, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage day-to-day transport operations and depot staff

Ensure full compliance with transport regulations, including tachograph and working time audits

Oversee fleet maintenance, vehicle inspections, and logistics planning

Manage stock control across two sites

Support H&S procedures, team training, and safety talks

Liaise with customers, terminals, and internal departments to maintain service quality

Provide weekend/emergency cover as required (overtime paid on an ad hoc basis)

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Depot Manager, Transport Manager, or similar role in logistics/distribution

Strong understanding of transport compliance, fleet operations, and planning

Hands-on leadership approach with excellent team management skills

Ability to manage changing priorities in a busy depot environment

Knowledge of the Highlands or remote logistics operations is a bonus
