Our client, a long-established and highly respected name in the UK food manufacturing and distribution sector, is seeking an experienced Depot Manager to lead operations at their North Wales site.

This is a hands-on leadership role with real scope to shape, improve and optimise how the depot functions, balancing commercial performance, people leadership, and operational excellence.

The Role

As Depot Manager, You Will

  • Lead day-to-day depot operations across logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Restructure and streamline operational workflows using LEAN principles to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a diverse team—setting clear goals, providing feedback, and ensuring performance standards are met.
  • Collaborate closely with the Commercial team to align depot operations with wider business goals and customer commitments.
  • Take ownership of compliance and performance areas including Health & Safety, Food Safety, Fleet Management, and Budget Control.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the depot.
About You

  • Proven experience in depot, logistics, or operations management, ideally within FMCG, food, or manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership skills able to inspire, motivate, and get the best from your team.
  • A practical, hands-on management style and the confidence to lead from the front.
  • Commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets, KPIs, and performance data.
