Job summary

Clee Hill Plant Limited is seeking a Depot Manager for the Andover depot (SP10 3TJ) with oversight of Newton Abbot. Basic hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday. You will lead and manage operations to achieve profitability and uphold the company’s service standards.

The role requires proven leadership in the plant hire sector, strong HSE and quality controls, and a proactive approach to staff development and customer service. A full driving licence is essential.

Clee Hill Plant has a nationwide network of 9 depots (Glasgow, Darlington, Stoke, Chesterfield, Ludlow, Corby, Andover, Dartford and Newton Abbot) with a fleet of over 2,500 machines.

The Role:

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager we have a vacancy for a Depot Manager based at our Andover Depot (SP10 3TJ) who will also oversee operations at the Newton Abbot Depot (TQ12 3PW). Basic hours are 8:00am until 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The main purpose is to effectively lead and manage activities, so the Depots achieve the required profitability and the 'Standards of Quality of Service'

Key Duties:

• Lead and motivate employees ensuring they are aware of their individual objectives, are competent to achieve them, and their performances are monitored, realistically assessed, and improved where appropriate.
• Ensure full compliance with the appropriate Company's Policies, Procedures and Legal requirements in particular those relating to the Environment, Health and Safety, Quality Management, HR, and Transportation.
• Ensure all members of staff are aware of their Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety responsibilities and have the necessary resources, information, instruction (including induction) and training to meet their responsibilities.
• Foster excellent relationships with customers
