Job Purpose

To provide an effective cleaning service to the ASDA Distribution centre within agreed budgetary guidelines and achieve or exceed service delivery targets through the management of the cleaning team and supervisors, ensuring services align with the company's cleaning specifications.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Ensure cleaning duties are performed as specified in the cleaning specification.
  2. Manage the depot cleaning budget by effectively scheduling staff to meet the needs of the business.
  3. Prioritize cleaning tasks within the team and monitor standards while adhering to specifications.
  4. Manage team performance and take necessary actions to address performance issues following company procedures.
  5. Promote open communication, monitor key performance indicators, and address issues to ensure excellent service delivery.
  6. Maintain security and proper condition of cleaning equipment and chemicals, ensuring they are well stocked.
  7. Recruit, induct, and train cleaning staff in accordance with company procedures.

The role involves a 40-hour workweek with full flexibility, operating over 7 days with a 3-shift system. Hours are flexible and include weekends.

  • Work 3 weekend days out of 8 per month (flexible).
  • Attend late and night shifts at least 4 times out of 8 weeks (flexible).
  • Candidates must have their own vehicle and be able to drive.
