Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organised Depot Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team in Derby. This full-time role is Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm, offering a salary of circa £31,000.
We specialise in sustainable water asset management solutions, delivering exceptional value outcomes in potable water, wastewater, and the environment.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the National Fleet & Equipment Manager (NFE), you will be responsible for managing stock, equipment, small machinery, vehicles, and facilities, while also overseeing regional administration. You will collaborate effectively with support services, site teams, and project management.
- Fleet Coordination: Ensure the servicing, roadworthiness, and availability of the local fleet in collaboration with the NFE Manager.
- Equipment Management: Manage maintenance and inspection programmes, ensuring all equipment is compliant and fit for purpose. Remove items from use when necessary.
- Stock Management: Oversee goods in/out and stock rotation. Conduct regular stock checks to ensure materials are correctly labelled and stored in compliance with regulations, reducing wastage.
- Tool & Equipment Management: Issue tools and equipment to teams, ensure they are returned, and oversee the maintenance of all machinery.
- Facilities Management: Oversee all building and facilities needs, acting as the main point of contact for on-site contractors. Take a hands-on approach to minor maintenance tasks such as replacing cables, installing signs, lubricating, and small mechanical repairs.
- Site Deliveries: Undertake site deliveries as required.
Who we’re looking for
- Proven experience in a similar role, with knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to manage and maintain small machinery and equipment (PAT testing experience is ideal).
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.
- Commercial acumen to manage stock and reduce waste efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across various teams.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for record keeping, report preparation, and administrative tasks.
- Hold a current driving licence, preferably with towing experience.
