Job summary

Speedy Group in Glasgow is seeking a General Assistant to support daily depot operations. The role covers deliveries/collections, vehicle loading/unloading, stock control and customer service at the hire desk. You will work in multiple depot areas, sometimes independently and with colleagues.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 07:30–17:00, 40 hours per week, with opportunities for training, development and career progression, and a focus on supporting ESG initiatives.

Qualifications

• Driving licence is required.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to adapt quickly to support others.
• Ability to support the business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries and/or collections and assist with vehicle loading/unloading.
• Stock control and servicing customers on the hire desk.
• Electrical testing of equipment where applicable.
• Assist in various depot areas to ensure smooth daily operations.
