Depot and Sales Manager (Wigan), Hemel Hempstead

Required in: Wigan

Purpose:

To effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the Depot, whilst developing and delivering a sales strategy in line with business objectives with an emphasis on quality and profitable new business.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing strong, inspirational leadership that models company values and maintains high standards within your depot.
  • Achieving/exceeding budgets through developing existing and new client relationships.
  • Meeting targets on sales, profit, stock management, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Driving operational efficiency by reviewing performance and managing resources effectively.
  • Ensuring compliance with all systems, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Implementing business initiatives effectively and managing departmental compliance.
  • Maintaining high service levels through collaboration with service departments and drivers.
  • Liaising with customers to meet delivery expectations and managing access and timing restrictions.
  • Working with relevant managers to improve accident reporting, tachograph, and defect compliance.
  • Using market knowledge to influence business practices and customer relations.
  • Monitoring performance, fostering team development, and managing costs within budgets.
  • Recruiting and training staff to enhance capability.
  • Supporting regional changes to ensure seamless service.
  • Focusing on sales and profit growth, and maintaining effective communication.
  • Visiting key customers and championing HSQE standards.
  • Overseeing troubleshooting and project challenges, ensuring compliance and minimizing faults.
