Change Grow Live have obtained additional funding to employ a Dependency and Recovery Coordinator to be embedded within the probation workforce to support offenders who are identified with substance misuse, either by providing brief interventions or to refer those who have a level of dependency to specialist treatment.
Where: Luton
Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary: £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 dependent on experience, pro rate for part time hours
Contract Type: Fixed term for 18 months
Responsibilities
About The Role:
- To increase community sentence treatment requirements for drug and alcohol treatment.
- Supporting service users from point of entry into the service on their dependency & recovery journey via our CGL Directory of Services.
- Providing screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning and onward referral.
- Reducing dependency & recovery related harm to service users and the wider community within the parameters of the National Probation Service referral.
- Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.
- Onward referral for ongoing support from partnership services.
About You:
- A commitment to multi-agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions to achieve good outcomes for the service user group, including mental health services, criminal justice agencies, community groups, etc.
- Accomplished written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of personal IT competency. The ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely fashion and to work to deadlines for the submission of information and reports.
- Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users.
- Ability to liaise and work in partnership with a wide range of professionals and agencies.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to engage successfully with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- An understanding of and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion best practice with a particular focus on engagement with hard-to-reach and marginalised service users.
