Job summary

Zachary Daniels Recruitment is seeking a Department Manager for a premium retailer renowned for exceptional customer service in assisted sales and big-ticket items. You will lead a high-performing team, develop client relationships and drive sales to deliver an outstanding customer experience from first contact to completion.

The role offers a base salary of £32-35k with a realistic OTE of £45-50k+, in a competitive premium market with strong career progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the day-to-day performance and commercial results of your department
• Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing sales team
• Ensure the team consistently delivers an exceptional customer experience
• Personally manage and develop relationships with high-value clients and customers
• Drive sales, conversion and average transaction values across the department
• Set clear targets and KPIs and ensure the team consistently achieves and exceeds them
• Create and drive incentives to maximise team performance
• Coach team members to improve sales performance, customer engagement and conversion
• Monitor department performance, identifying opportunities and areas requiring improvement
• Work closely with the wider management team to deliver business objectives
• Maintain a strong customer-first culture across the department
• Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and react quickly to changes in business performance
