Job summary

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust is seeking a Dental Therapist for its Hatfield clinic, offering a permanent post with options for full-time or part-time (minimum 30 hours per week). The role covers special care dentistry for children and adults, including conscious sedation and GA.

Some outreach work across Hertfordshire is included. Salary is £49,387–£56,515 per annum pro rata, with a closing date 06/11/2026.

Qualifications

• BSC degree or Diploma in Dental Therapy or equivalent qualification/training and experience.
• Registered with the GDC.
• A qualification and/or training in clinical supervision/Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex dental therapy care for priority groups including people with disabilities.
• Treat anxious children (age 8 and under) and adults requiring special care dentistry.
• Delivery includes conscious sedation and general anaesthesia where appropriate.
• Occasional outreach work across Hertfordshire from Hatfield clinic.
