Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dental Therapist to join Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust Dental Services. Experience of working in NHS dentistry is essential.

Salary is pro rata of Band 6 AfC (£38,682 rising to £46,580 on 2025/26 pay scales) commensurate with previous NHS employment or experience.

Responsibilities
  • The post is 22.5 hours and can be arranged as 3 days (except Mondays) for our sites in Central Lancashire (Bamber Bridge Clinic, Ringway Dental Centre and Ashton Health Centre). The post is peripatetic across these sites in accordance with Service need.
  • You can be expected to work at other sites within LSCft Dental Services.
  • The post includes the provision of care within the specialties of special care and paediatric dentistry and routine high street dentistry.
  • Experience in inhalation sedation is preferred but accredited training will be provided if required.
  • This role is supported by an experienced skill mix workforce. Mentoring, clinical supervision and relevant CPD available.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care. The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
