Job summary

Plymouth Centre of Dental Excellence is seeking a Locum Dental Therapist for a short-term placement in Plymouth. The role involves providing routine check-ups, hygiene care, and restorative treatments within scope, with the potential for extension beyond approximately 3 months.

Flexible days (Mon AM, Tue, Fri, and others) and immediate start are available. The practice emphasises high-quality patient care, education, and building a loyal patient list in a private dental setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified Dental Therapist with eligibility to practice.
• Experience delivering routine check-ups and hygiene appointments.
• Ability to perform restorative and minor operative tasks within scope.

Responsibilities

• Routine check-ups and hygiene appointments.
• Full use of your therapist scope, including Direct Access appointments.
• Restorative treatments on primary and permanent teeth.
• Tooth extractions (as per scope).
• Preventative dental care and treatment of gum disease.
• Providing high-quality patient care and education.
• Supporting long-term oral health.
• Building and maintaining a loyal patient list.

About Us

Plymouth Centre of Dental Excellence are looking for a Locum Dental Therapist to join their team on a short term basis. We are expecting the contract to last for around 3 months, however there may be an extension to this.

Plymouth Dental Centre of Excellence is a multi-award-winning private dental practice located in St. Budeaux, Plymouth. Established in 1995, the practice is committed to maintaining an excellent standard of care and service. From the moment a patient walks into the practice, through to the treatment received and post treatment communication, every step of the journey is designed to deliver an outstanding experience.

Days / Hours

• Mon AM
• Tuesdays
• Fridays
• Can be flexible on days to suit
• Immediate start
