Job summary

VK Recruitment, on behalf of an established dental laboratory in Birmingham, is seeking an experienced Dental Technician with a strong background in Chrome / Cobalt Chrome work to join a busy prosthetics team. You will work in the Chrome / Cobalt Chrome department, produce cobalt chrome frameworks, and collaborate with the wider lab.

Experience with removable prosthetics, attention to detail, and the ability to manage workload are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous dental laboratory experience within Chrome / Cobalt Chrome.
• Produces accurate, high-quality work.
• Good understanding of removable prosthetics.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Can manage workload effectively.
• Works well as part of a laboratory team.
• Experience with digital chrome workflows, CAD design or 3D printing would be advantageous.

We are working with an established dental laboratory in Birmingham that is looking to recruit an experienced Dental Technician with a strong background in Chrome / Cobalt Chrome work.

The Role

The successful candidate will have experience within the Chrome / Cobalt Chrome department and be confident working independently while maintaining a consistently high standard of work.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Cobalt chrome framework production
• Designing and finishing chrome frameworks
• Partial denture frameworks
• Model preparation and surveying
• Finishing, fitting and quality control
• Working closely with the wider prosthetics team
• Ensuring cases are completed accurately and within agreed turnaround times

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous dental laboratory experience within Chrome / Cobalt Chrome
• Produces accurate, high-quality work
• Has a good understanding of removable prosthetics
• Has excellent attention to detail
• Can manage their workload effectively
• Works well as part of a laboratory team

Experience with digital chrome workflows, CAD design or 3D printing would also be advantageous, although this is not essential.
