Job summary

Rodericks Dental Partners Group is seeking a Dental Receptionist for a maternity cover at Oaklands Dental Surgery in Preston. The role focuses on a warm welcome, booking management, record accuracy, and smooth coordination with dental teams in a 34-hour week (Tuesday–Friday).

You’ll contribute to great patient experiences, support NHS/private conversions, and help maintain a friendly, professional practice culture with opportunities for development within our nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role is desirable.
• Confident communicator with a professional, approachable manner.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a busy environment.
• Attention to detail and good IT skills for handling bookings and records.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, professional welcome to patients and visitors.
• Manage appointment bookings and maintain accurate patient records.
• Process payments and handle administrative tasks with precision.
• Coordinate with dentists, nurses, and practice managers to keep the practice running smoothly.
• Promote and upsell dental services and products to support patient care.
• Be a key part of creating a positive, friendly atmosphere in the practice.
