Dental Public Health Academic Tutor

Do you have a passion for teaching? Are you interested in developing your research skills within a multidisciplinary team of researchers and clinicians?

In this role, you will support the delivery of teaching and supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students within the Department of Dental Public Health. Dental Public Health is the science and art of preventing oral diseases and promoting oral health at the population level. You will work alongside an internationally recognized team of educators and researchers in clinical dentistry, psychology, sociology, and public health.

This role offers opportunities to develop skills in delivering lectures, tutorials, examinations, and supporting programme and module reviews. We support you to undertake an education award, if required; Professional Recognition in Student Education (PRiSE), which aligns with the UK Professional Standards Framework and can enhance your teaching credentials.

Qualifications include a master’s degree in a relevant subject aligned with Dental Public Health. Experience in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate levels is desirable but not essential. You should demonstrate interpersonal, time management, communication, and administrative skills, and have the capacity to inspire enthusiasm in others.
