Job description


We are seeking a committed and compassionate Dental Officer to join our Community NHS Trust team, providing high-quality dental care within secure environments.

You will deliver dental services based at HMP Rochester and HMP
Swaleside, Sheerness but you may at times need to attend other sites, caring for patients detained in His Majesty’s Prison establishments. This role offers variety, professional challenge, and the opportunity to work with a dedicated multidisciplinary team in a highly supportive setting.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Full GDC registration

• Strong clinical skills and a calm, compassionate approach

• A commitment to tackling health inequalities

You will provide:

• Tier 2 level dental care for paediatric and special care patients who
have been referred into the service

• Dental treatment under inhalation sedation (and intravenous
sedation if required by service need)

• Involve patients in their care and treatment. Offer information, support and motivation to patients regarding oral health, diet and smoking
