Job description

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Dental Officer to join our Community NHS Trust team, providing high-quality dental care within secure environments.

You will deliver dental services based at HMP Rochester and HMP Swaleside, Sheerness, with occasional attendance at other sites, caring for patients detained in His Majesty’s Prison establishments. This role offers variety, professional challenge, and the opportunity to work with a dedicated multidisciplinary team in a highly supportive setting.

  • A commitment to tackling health inequalities
You Will Provide
  • Tier 2 level dental care for paediatric and special care patients referred into the service
  • Dental treatment under inhalation sedation (and intravenous sedation if required by service need)
  • Involvement of patients in their care and treatment, offering information, support, and motivation regarding oral health, diet, and smoking cessation
