Job summary

Time for Teeth in Surrey is seeking a GDC registered Dental Nurse to join our NHS dental care team within secure settings at HMP Coldingley and HMP Send. This part-time position offers Thursdays and Fridays, 08:30–16:30, in a supportive, professional environment.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high clinical standards, maintain sterilisation, manage patient records and contribute to a compliant clinic across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• GDC registration is required.
• 2+ years of dental nursing experience.
• Dental indemnity insurance is required on appointment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile clinic areas and equipment to required standards.
• Ensure CQC and compliance standards are met.
• Provide chairside support to the dentist and clinical team.
• Set up, decontaminate and sterilise instruments.
• Manage stock and receipts for the clinic.
• Update patient records accurately.
• Run monthly clinic performance reports.
• Support patient safety and wellbeing.
• Follow Health & Safety, PPE and waste management rules.
• Complete mandatory training and CPD per GDC.
• Handle laboratory request forms.
• Assist with additional duties for service efficiency.

Time for Teethare looking for a GDC registered Dental Nurse to join ourSurreyteam, supporting the delivery of high‑quality NHS dental care within our secure‑setting clinic(s) at HMP Coldingley

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and highly motivated Dental Nurse who can work well as part of a team and use their own initiative when needed. Strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and a positive work ethic are essential.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Maintain clean, tidy and sterile clinical areas and ensure all equipment meets required standards.
• Ensure all CQC and compliance standards are met.
• Provide chairside support to the dentist and wider clinical team.
• Set up, decontaminate and sterilise instruments.
• Maintain stock levels within clinic.
• Update and manage patient records accurately.
• Complete monthly clinic performance reports.
• Support the safety and wellbeing of all patients.
• Comply with all Health & Safety and infection‑control requirements, including PPE, COSHH and waste management.
• Complete mandatory training and CPD in line with GDC requirements.
• Manage laboratory request forms.
• Support other duties as required for the safe and efficient running of the service

Qualifications and Skills:

• GDC Registered
• Fully qualified with 2+ years of dental nursing experience
• Hold Dental indemnity insurance (required on appointment)
