Job summary

M&S Dental Care in Fort William, part of Clyde Munro Group, is recruiting a Dental Nurse. We welcome full-time and part-time applications and trainee applicants. The practice features nine dental suites and a modern decontamination unit, with free parking on site.

You will provide chair-side support, maintain patient records, and assist in delivering excellent patient care while adhering to clinical and health & safety guidelines. Training and CPD opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must be GDC registered.
• Experience in Private / NHS practices is beneficial.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills.

Responsibilities

• Chair side support in day-to-day activities.
• Ensure accurate patient records using Software of Excellence.
• Set up surgeries for each session to maximise efficiency.
• Anticipate clinician and patient needs; arrange lab work and equipment.
• Monitor stock levels in the surgery.
• Undertake reception duties when required including answering calls, booking appointments, and collecting charges.

We are excited to be recruiting a Dental Nurse to join our team at M & S Dental Care in Fort William. There is full and part time hours available. We will also accept trainee applications.

At M&S Dental Care we are proud to be one of the largest dental practices in Scotland with our team of friendly and highly skilled clinicians and support staff. We have nine dental suites and a dedicated two room decontamination unit all equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology. Our team is able to give you all the information you need on the services that are available to you, to give you the best smile possible and to make your experience with us as pleasant and relaxed as it can be.

There is free parking at the practice.

Your Role

You will be responsible for providing chair side support in all day-to-day activities within the practice and surgeries. You will play an important role in a ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while complying with all clinical and health & safety guidance.

Other duties include –

• Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset
• Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained
• Ensuring the surgery is set up appropriately for each session throughout the day to maximise the efficiency of the practice and surgery utilisation
• Anticipating the requirements of the clinician and patient in advance of their session and ensure necessary lab work and equipment is in place
• Monitoring surgery stocks to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained
• Undertaking reception duties when required including answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges

About You

• Must be GDC registered
• Experience working in Private / NHS practices is beneficial
• Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care
• The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills
