Job description

(13.5 hours pwk – Thurs/Friday)

Applications are invited for the role of Dental Nurse Technician to join the Dental Education Team in the Education Centre, RSFT. This post would suit a candidate with dental knowledge/experience, familiar with a variety of dental procedures (GDC registration preferred but not essential).

Working closely with the Dental Manager, the post holder will assist with the facilitation of the delivery of dental training programs, including but not limited to dental foundation and continuing professional development. The post holder will be responsible for providing expert technical support to ensure the effective delivery of multi-professional and post-graduate dental simulation education.

Job Summary

1. Setting up and cleaning down the dental skills room on study days
2. Assisting trainers and trainees with equipment and materials during the study day
3. Sourcing equipment and materials for upcoming study days
4. Liaising with trainers regarding materials needed for study days
5. Stock taking and inventory of equipment and materials
6. Maintaining simulation units
7. Infection control and COSHH management
