A community healthcare provider is looking for a qualified Dental Nurse to join its Special Care Dental Service in London. This permanent part-time role requires excellent communication skills and a valid driving license. The ideal candidate should have experience working with special needs patients. Permanent 22.5 sessions per week (may be required to work on weekends). We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and competent Dental Nurse to join our Special Care Dental Service. We are based across 5 sites in Bromley, Bexley and Greenwich. The successful candidate would ideally be based at 1 or 2 sites on a regular basis but may be asked to cover for colleagues at different sites. Travel arrangements to meet the needs of the job are expected. A valid driving licence and access to a car is essential for this position.
The successful applicant must have an appropriate qualification in Dental Nursing and be registered with the General Dental Council. Excellent communication skills, compassion, empathy, good organisational skills, IT skills and being a team player are integral to this post. Previous CDS experience is desirable but we are happy to train someone with the right aptitude and skills.

We run our General Anaesthetic sessions from PRUH in Orpington, and we would expect the post holder to participate in these sessions when required. We aim to provide high quality dental care for our special needs patients and children who are referred into our service.
We carry out domiciliary visits to meet the needs of the patients in their own settings—homes, care/residential homes and sometimes hospitals. We also provide treatment under conscious sedation. Any previous experience of conscious sedation will be desirable.
