Job description

We are delighted to extend an invite to qualified Dental Nurses to join our Consultant led Oral and Maxillofacial Service providing support to Maxillofacial, Restorative Dentistry and Orthodontics. This is a fixed term post for 12 months covering clinics 0800-1800 for 2 days per week at Musgrove Park Hospital.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual with excellent communication skills to assist urgent and routine specialist care within the 3 specialties.

Main duties of the job

• You will work as part of a team to provide care for our service users, those patients with needs outside of GDP care.
• To provide clinical and non-clinical support to Trust employed Dental Clinicians.
• To be able to link between service user and clinician.
• To prepare the surgery for the service user and assist the clinicians in a range of dental procedures.
• Processing dental equipment and instruments according to HTM01-05 and local policies to include daily testing and documentation of decontamination processes and equipment.

• GDC Registered Dental Nurse

Experience

• Previous experience of working within the care sector.
