Qualifications

Job description

We have a great opportunity for a compassionate and skilled Dental Nurse to join a dedicated team in Cumbria, supporting their commitment to delivering excellent patient care.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
  2. Preparing and maintaining the clinical environment, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments.
  3. Ensuring patient comfort and providing reassurance and support.
  4. Recording and updating patient medical and dental histories.
  5. Taking and processing dental radiographs (X-rays).
  6. Performing infection control procedures and adhering to health and safety protocols.
  7. Managing and maintaining equipment and instruments.
  8. Scheduling patient appointments and managing patient records.
  9. Maintaining accurate patient notes and ensuring confidentiality.
  10. Assisting with stock control and ordering dental supplies.
  11. Liaising with patients, dental professionals, and other healthcare providers.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Dental Nurse (NEBDN or equivalent).
  2. Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
  3. Previous experience working as a Dental Nurse is preferred.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  6. Ability to work well in a team and independently.
  7. Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
  8. Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. If you are on the update service, you could be fast-tracked through our recruitment process today.
  9. Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
