Requirements include:

• GDC registration
• Chairside experience and ideally the NEBDN National Certificate for Dental Nurses, NVQ in Oral Health Care Dental Nursing Level 2 & 3, Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 or equivalent
• Registration with the General Dental Council and personal indemnity cover
• NHS experience is desirable
• Eligibility to work in the UK

The Role

• Confidently operate machines and record data accurately
• Work face-to-face with patients from diverse backgrounds
• Support clinicians across various clinical treatments in different settings such as clinics, patients’ homes, residential and nursing homes, hospices, and hospitals
• Anticipate clinician needs and support patients during dental procedures
• Respond to individual patient needs and provide pre- and post-operative instructions, maintaining privacy and dignity
• Prepare the dental surgery and temporary clinical environments outside of clinical areas, ensuring PPE usage as per Trust Infection Prevention guidelines
• Ensure instruments, equipment, x-rays, records, and electronic data are ready for clinicians prior to treatment
• Provide clinical support for inhalation and intravenous sedation clinics; additional training will be provided if necessary
