Job description

A private dentistry based in the West End London is seeking a Dental Nurse to provide chairside nursing, administration, and customer service. The Dental Nurse will be GDC registered, have minimum 3 years’ experience in dentistry and have excellent communication, customer service, and IT skills. In addition, you will be discrete, professional, a team player and organised.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diary coordination
  • Building rapport with patients, referring dentists, and businesses
  • Administration (filing, scanning, reports, referrals and more)
  • Treatment discussions and before and aftercare instructions
  • Answering patient queries regarding treatment in consultation with the clinical team as needed
  • Managing patient statement of accounts and billing
  • Follow up from consultations for treatment starts
  • Chairside nursing for aesthetic and orthodontic/dental procedures
  • Learn and master software and liaise with company as needed
  • Update documentation and keep track of new staff and their CPD and required documents
  • Lab work and postage tracking
  • Taking payments and banking and keeping track of patient accounts
  • Labwork such as making retainers and study models/liaising with other staff or labs
  • Impression Taking
  • Taking and filing clinical photographs

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Have minimum 3 years’ experience in dentistry and have done relevant nursing duties
  • Is confident, discrete, professional, team player, friendly and organised
  • Is GDC registered DCP or NMC
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Good IT skills
  • Is proactive within the role to improve systems and care
  • Excellent customer service
  • Must be able to work independently and unsupervised
  • Is able to continuously develop and improve Administration skills
  • Feel passionate about orthodontic and aesthetic treatments and the products

Salary: £28,000 to 30,000 DOE
