Job summary

St Anne's Dental Practice in Lewes is seeking a qualified, GDC-registered Dental Nurse to join our established four-surgery private practice on a permanent, part-time basis.

You'll provide chairside support, prepare surgeries, and help ensure high standards of infection control. We offer a friendly, supportive team environment with a focus on patient care. Hours are Tue/Wed/Thu 8:15am–5:15pm with a 1-hour lunch break; three days per week. Salary is up to £14.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• GDC registration as a Dental Nurse is required.
• Friendly, approachable and able to work with patients.
• Demonstrates a warm, professional and welcoming manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside support to clinicians.
• Prepare surgeries and ensure they are stocked for patients.
• Assist clinicians during a range of dental treatments.
• Welcoming and reassuring patients throughout their treatment.
• Maintain infection prevention and cross-contamination controls.
• Clean, sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Keep accurate patient records up to date.
• Support the smooth running of the practice.
• Liaise with the wider dental team and other staff.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience.

About the Role

As a Dental Nurse, you’ll play an important role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring our patients receive a high standard of care.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing chairside support to clinicians
• Preparing surgeries and ensuring they are fully stocked and ready for patients
• Supporting clinicians during a range of dental treatments
• Welcoming and reassuring patients throughout their treatment
• Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and cross-contamination control
• Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Supporting the smooth running of the practice
• Liaising with the wider dental team
• Helping to create a positive experience for every patient
