Job summary

Clyde Munro Dental Group is seeking a Dental Nurse to join Barlanark Dental Practice in Glasgow. This permanent, full-time role focuses on chair-side support, patient care, and teamwork in a friendly, NHS/private practice.

You will be GDC registered and able to work independently and as part of a team, with opportunities for professional development and in-house training. On-site parking and easy access by public transport are available.

Qualifications

• Must be GDC registered.
• Experience in Private or NHS dental practices.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team.
• Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair side support in day-to-day activities within the practice and surgeries.
• Deliver excellent patient care while complying with clinical and health & safety guidance.
• Create a welcoming environment for patients and maintain accurate patient records using Software of Excellence.
• Ensure the surgery is prepared for each session and stock levels are maintained.
• Assist with reception duties including answering calls, scheduling appointments, and collecting charges.

We're looking for a Dental Nurse to become part of our supportive team at Barlanark Dental Practice in Glasgow. This is a permanent position working full time per week and offers the opportunity to join a friendly practice where patient care and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

Based in the east end of Glasgow, Barlanark Dental Practice has proudly cared for the local community since 2015. We provide a wide range of NHS and cosmetic dental treatments in a modern, welcoming environment and are committed to delivering an excellent experience for every patient.

Your Role

You will be responsible for providing chair side support in all day-to-day activities within the practice and surgeries. You will play an important role in a ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while complying with all clinical and health & safety guidance.

Other duties include –

• Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset

• Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained

• Ensuring the surgery is set up appropriately for each session throughout the day to maximise the efficiency of the practice and surgery utilisation

• Anticipating the requirements of the clinician and patient in advance of their session and ensure necessary lab work and equipment is in place

• Monitoring surgery stocks to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained

• Undertaking reception duties when required including answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges

About You

• Must be GDC registered

• Must have experience working in Private / NHS practices

• Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care

• The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team

• Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills
